    Free throws a factor in Cloud County's tight 77-74 loss to Barton GREAT BEND, Kansas — The Cloud County Community College men's basketball team overcame double-digit deficits on multiple occasions Saturday night to push Barton Community College, the second place team in the KJCCC standings, to the brink. But the T-Birds were unable to overcome a 19 free throw discrepancy in its tough 77-74 road loss to the Cougars.

    Late heroics propel T-Birds to 70-66 road win over Butler EL DORADO, Kansas — For the second time in as many meetings this season, the Cloud County Community College men’s basketball team produced huge plays in the final seconds to stun the Butler Community College Grizzlies. Back on December 11, it was sophomore guard Deon Lyle who drew a foul on his 3-point, game-tying attempt and made all three free throws to set up a 93-82 overtime win. On Wednesday, it was sophomore Andrew Ballock’s turn to play hero in the T-Birds’ 70-66 road victory.
