No. 7 ranked T-Birds tie Kansas Wesleyan to begin 2017 season

SALINA, Kansas — The Cloud County Community College men's soccer team kicked off its 2017 season with a scrimmage on Tuesday, earning a 1-1 tie on the road against Kansas Wesleyan University.

It was a bittersweet tie for the No. 7 ranked T-Birds  as unofficial stats had them dominate the shots category, 15-1.

Sophomore midfielder Robert Kelly scored for Cloud County, assisted by fellow sophomore Rafael Santos.

Cloud County, coming off of a 19-1-2 overall season a year ago, will look to pick up its first win of 2017 on Wednesday when it hosts Iowa Lakes Community College at 4 p.m.
