LINDSBORG, Kansas -- The Cloud County Community College men's soccer team earned a 2-2 tie on Thursday in its final exhibition game against Bethany College.

Thursday's match marked the last of two scrimmages and the end of a grueling stretch of three games in three days for the No. 7 ranked T-Birds (1-0 overall), who picked up their first regular season victory Wednesday afternoon in a 3-1 win over Iowa Lakes Community College.

Freshman midfielder Robert Kelly scored the first goal for the T-Birds at 20-minute mark of the first half, assisted by fellow freshman Baptiste Bissessur.

Bissessur had his hand in the Cloud County's second goal as well as he set up sophomore Rafael Santos in the 55th-minute.

"It was a step in the right direction," said Cloud County head coach, James Ross. "We played very well tonight."

Cloud County resumes regular season action at 5 p.m. Tuesday when it heads out on the road to face Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa.
