GARDEN CITY, Kansas — The Cloud County Community College men's soccer team overcame a slow start to earn a 2-1 victory over Garden City Community College on Thursday in the two teams' KJCCC West opener.

Cloud County (2-1 overall, 1-0 KJCCC West) trailed 1-0 late into the second half before freshman midfielder Vitor Leitao tied the game up at 1-1 with 20 minutes remaining.

Freshman forward Ignacio Ruiz played hero 18 minutes later as he netted what proved to be the game-winner with two minutes left in the second half, dropping the Broncbusters to 0-4 overall on the season, 0-1 in the KJCCC West.
