Freshman goalkeeper Calum Ellis Jones received very little work during that stretch. But the native of Ascot, England earned every bit of his shutout Wednesday, recording a career-high eight saves in the T-Birds' 1-0 victory over the Beavers.

Monday's news only added to it. After earning a pair of dominating victories last week to pad the resume, the undefeated T-Birds (13-0-1 overall) moved up from No. 12 to No. 10 in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) men's soccer poll.

Cloud County Community College is hunting a national championship. The discrepancies showed in Saturday's final score as the No. 12 ranked T-Birds manhandled the visiting Larks en route to an 8-0 victory.

October 11, 2016 Marcos Gomes hat trick propels No. 12 T-Birds to 4-0 win over Mavericks, KJCCC West crown CONCORDIA, Kansas- Cloud County Community College men's head soccer coach James Ross was blindsided, tackled by his own men, and doused in ice cold water following the conclusion of Tuesday's game against Northwest Kansas Technical College. He couldn't have been happier about it. Ross, and the rest of his No. 12 ranked T-Birds, had plenty to smile about after their 4-0 victory over the visiting Mavericks. The win moved Cloud County to 12-0-1 overall, 7-0-1 in the KJCCC and sealed the first Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) West title for the program since it co-owned that honor in 2011.
