Cloud County softball to lead efforts in 2018 Christmas for Kids Toy Drive

CONCORDIA, Kansas — The Cloud County Community College softball team is doing its part to bring cheer to area youths during the holiday season as the T-Birds are again leading the efforts for the 2018 Christmas for Kids Toy Drive.

This will be the second year the T-Birds have headed the toy drive, which benefits the children in the care of Saint Francis Ministries programs.

"We had some success last year, collecting about 25 toys for donation, and we're hoping to make it an even bigger event this year," said Cloud County assistant coach, Madi Bryant. "We want to make sure that every kid under the care of Saint Francis Ministries has a gift to open on Christmas morning."

The toy drive, which runs from November 19 through December 10, will be sports-themed. Participants are asked to donate any kind of new or used sports ball, athletic equipment, team apparel such as jerseys, t-shirts and hats, and team merchandise like lunch boxes, blankets and water bottles.

Donated items may be dropped off inside the Cloud County athletic department office, located at 2221 Campus Drive in Concordia, Kansas.
