On Wednesday, the Cloud County Community College women’s basketball team gave No. 7 ranked Seward County Community College all it could handle for 40 minutes. But a rough second half from beyond the arc, and a few brief defensive lapses, spoiled the T-Birds' upset bid as Seward survived for an 83-78 win.
January 21, 2017 T-Birds unable to sustain fast start in 78-45 loss to No. 5 ranked Hutchinson HUTCHINSON, Kansas — For much of the first half Saturday night, Cloud County played toe-to-toe with the No. 5 ranked team in the country. Unfortunately for the T-Birds, they couldn't sustain or regain the energy they came out with in Friday’s 78-45 loss to Hutchinson Community College.
