Dayana Chara was named an NJCAA Second-Team All-American on Wednesday.

CONCORDIA, Kan. – Cloud County Community College sophomore outside hitter Dayana Chara has been named National Junior College Athletic Association Second-Team All-American for her performance during the 2019 volleyball season.

A first-team All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference and NJCAA Division II Plains District B selection this season, Chara finished a stellar playing career in black and gold for CCCC by finishing her sophomore campaign with 469 kills. The 469 kills was the third-most by any KJCCC Player this year regardless of division and second most in a single-season at Cloud County according to available records.

The Cartagena, Columbia native would also add 59 blocks and 13 service aces this season and finish with 803 kills during her two seasons on the court for the T-Birds to set a new career-record for kills at CCCC.
